Dear #name#,

Welcome to the August edition of the STT newsletter.  Hope all are well in STT land!

Research:

There is a trend towards trigger point research in Tension Type headaches.  This research below is another example.  Results suggest that those suffering from tension type headaches do have a greater forward head posture, more active trigger points and less mobile neck.

This research below is again on Trigger Points. The results suggest that active trigger points have the potential to increase the effects of migraine, not cause, but increase, especially when the referral zone correlates with the migraine.

Nominations have closed for AOC positions for the recovery centre at the upcoming Beijing games.  Thanks for those that have nominated.

Poll:

The poll in the last couple of months has voted overwhelmingly suggesting we are falling behind our peers in a number of areas.  This month, in a surprising result, the voters are 50:50 for our members prescribing orthotics.  Contraversial?  I would think so!

Hope all is well in the soft tissue world.

Kind Regards,
Administrator
